In March 2018, the Grand Traverse County Drug Free Coalition helped gather local stakeholders to establish a local chapter of Families Against Narcotics (FAN).

The executive board was established and began meeting in April of 2018 and the go-live date for this chapter was Thursday, June 21, 2018.
